FINANTA Announces Two Additions to their Board of Directors

We are proud to announce that FINANTA has added two new members to our board of directors – Jennifer Kates and Mike Kerlin.

Jennifer Kates is a Legislative Assistant for Councilwoman Maria Quiones-Sanchez and has over three years of experience in community development, specifically in housing law and legislation.  Kates will be instrumental in strengthening FINANTA’s community ties and serving as a liaison to City Council. With vast experience in providing pro bono legal assistance to low-income individuals in a range of housing matters, Kates will be a great resource for our clients. She holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and BA in English with minors in French and art history from Temple University.

Mike Kerlin is an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company and has over eleven years of experience in economic and community development. Kerlin’s experience as an engagement manager and business analysis will support FINANTA in its market expansion effort. With experience expanding business incubator space in urban areas, Kerlin’s expertise in economic development will be a great asset to the board.  He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in public and international affairs from Princeton University.

Kates and Kerlin join current FINANTA board members Carlos Peraza, Patrick Daher, Aisha Yasin, Jane Sobieski, David Gleeson, Brendan McBride and Sara Hirschler.
